Eligibility Criteria For The University of Manchester Humanitarian Scholarship

Below are the eligibility criteria for the University of Manchester Humanitarian Scholarship.

  •  An individual must be at serious risk due to armed conflict.
  •  An individual must be unable to access or complete higher education.
  •  An individual must have received an offer of admission for entry in September 2024.
  •  An individual must have an excellent academic background.
  •  An individual must be displaced inside or forced to leave their home country within the last three years (due to armed conflict).
  •  An individual must not have studied, at any level, in the UK or EU.
  •  An individual must demonstrate knowledge of and commitment to their chosen course.

Available Courses

Full-time or part-time study is required to qualify for this award. Online courses are not provided.

 Undergraduate Courses

This award is offered for undergraduate degrees lasting three years. Candidates for Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, or Architecture degrees are ineligible.

The institution is open to offering scholarships for information year by visiting foundation.se.manchester.ac.uk or Biosciences Foundation course if you still need to meet the qualifications for their 3-year degree courses in engineering, biosciences, and natural sciences.

Master’s Courses

The grant covers all Master’s programs, excluding MBA programs and clinical medicine and dentistry degrees.

How To Apply

An offer of admission would be the first thing a person would require. Anyone who does not currently have an admission offer is not eligible for this award.

It should be noted that receiving an academic offer does not guarantee a scholarship.  

Undergraduate Courses

It is suggested that someone apply on ucas.com. On manchester.ac.uk/study/international/admissions/undergraduate-application-process/, applicants can get comprehensive guidance and information on how to submit their applications. 

The University of Manchester must be your UCAS preference by May 20, 2024, although you may submit a conditional offer along with your scholarship application.

Master’s Course

One needs to apply online through manchester.ac.uk/study/masters/admissions/how-to-apply/

You need to hold an unconditional offer and ensure to apply either, as some courses have a staged admission process. On the funding section of the application form, under “Funding Sources”, choose “The University of Manchester Scheme” and for awarding body type “Humanitarian Scholarship”.

Application for the Scholarship

Opens – 1st March 2024

Closes – 15th April 2024

Their official website will be updated in early 2024 with a link to the application form, which will be live on March 1 2024.

Masters aspirants must upload an unconditional offer letter.

Undergraduate scholarships include UCAS ID.
